This week, we've got two shows coming up that you don't want to miss.

Tuesday, June 7- THE POTATO PIRATES (Denver ska punk), Iwanaga!, The Endorsement, and the Sons of Bitches. 6:30 PM, $3.

Friday, June 10- BLOODSHOT AND DILATED, Benny and the Vetts, The 32s, Victimless Crime, It'll Grow Back, and the Deadbeats. 6:00 PM, $5.

As anyone who's been around lately knows, things have gotten a bit out of hand as far as drinking and police visits go. Because of this, we now have a zero tolerance alcohol policy. If we see you drinking on our property, regardless of your age, we'll have to ask you to leave or dispose of it. We were also specifically told not to allow anyone out in front of the building, so we also have a limited ins and outs policy. If you need to leave for any reason, just let the people at the door know.

We appreciate your understanding, and we'll see you at the show!

There's been a lot of crazy stuff happening. The funny thing is its not just happening at The Bel-Tower. CYC has also had a lot of crazy happenings this weekend at their shows. What's up with all this hate Fresno? Well in hopes of resolving and/or coming to an agreement on some of the issues that risen, an open meeting is in the works. We will keep you updated and let you know when it will happen!

We would ask that everyone respects both venues. They are doing what they can in support of the scene. We are here for you guys!

Also...the following things have been stolen from Bel-Tower:
  • Haley's bike
  • Haley's new jacket
  • Projector
  • Drum cymbals
  • Red bass (stickered)
  • White guitar (also stickered)

If anyone knows anything about these missing items please let us know. We don't want or need any names we just want our stuff back.

On a more positive note, please join us for the following shows this weekend:

Saturday January 29: Casino Madrid, Were Not Friends Anymore, Your Hero is a Villian, ITheDeciever, Compassion, We Rose From Ashes

That will finish up January for us! It's been a crazy month but we've had lots of fun. The scene is really coming alive and we are excited to be a part of it with all of you. Keep on coming to shows!

We are always in need of new volunteers! If you would like to become a Bel-Tower volunteer please feel free to email us or to talk to us at any of our events. Please get involved!

Bel-Tower is also in need of a few things. We've got some new projects that are coming up very soon. We need a few things and if you could help us get them we will love you forever! We are looking for a new fridge and a stove, or if you could help us transport these items (hopefully with a truck) we would appreciate it.

Here as some other things that we could use:
  • Outdoor furniture (lawn chairs, tables, fire pit)
  • Indoor furniture (couches, chairs, small tables)
  • TVs
  • Outdoor sheds (we'd like to have two, one for equipment and another for a workshop) or supplies and labor to build them
  • Planter boxes
  • Fence supplies
  • Sound equipment
  • Paint
  • Money
  • Outdoor lights
  • Extension cords

Also if you have any dog supplies, the Bel-Tower dogs, along with any future Bel-Tower dogs will gladly take them. Things like towels, blankets, dog beds, bowels, food, houses, etc. If we don't end up using them we will donate them to a rescue for sure, so they don't go to waste.

Artists
If you are an artist and are interested in doing a piece inside our building please contact us! We've got plenty of wall space for a few artists to come in and do some really cool art. We also have a huge wall outside that we would love someone to do. This is a great way to get some exposure or just to show off your talent.

Thank you for all your support. We do all of this for you guys! Please join us in the continuation of making Bel-Tower a fun and open place for everyone.

As you know, we are struggling financially, but we're trying our best to continue to make improvements to the space. That being said, we'd love it if anyone could donate any of the following things to us, or sell them at an extremely low price:
  • Outdoor furniture (lawn chairs, tables, fire pit)
  • Indoor furniture (couches, chairs, small tables)
  • TVs
  • Outdoor sheds (we'd like to have two, one for equipment and another for a workshop) or supplies and labor to build them
  • Planter boxes
  • Fence supplies
  • Sound equipment
  • Paint
  • Time
  • Money
  • Labor
  • Outdoor lights
  • Extension cords

OPENING NIGHT

After less than two weeks of hard work, we opened our doors last night for our first show! We were amazed to see exactly 60 people packed in the building; we were afraid no one would show up! We'd like to thank everyone who came to the show, all of the bands that played, (especially Vitamin X), and everyone who helped out! It was easily one of the best shows we've had in Fresno in a long time.

BOOKING

Many of you asked about helping out and/or booking shows. Since we're a new space, we're still figuring it out, but right now, our rates are as follows:
  • $30 to rent the space.
  • We take $1 per head.
This is subject to change at any time depending on whether or not we can pay our rent and utilities. We're always more than willing to accept donations, including money, kitchen supplies, extension cords, paint, et cetera.

To book a show, contact Chris or Samantha and ask for a date. We're working on setting up social networking profiles and hopefully a full website soon.

RULES

Because we are an all ages space, and because (at the moment) we are brand new, have no standing with the neighbors or police, and are uninsured, we can not allow drugs or alcohol to be consumed in the building or in the gated back area. If you'd like to drink, please do it away from the building. We've put hundreds of dollars out of our own pockets into this space and we can't risk having it taken away.

We also do not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia, or fighting.
